Linda,
Please forgive the tardiness of my reply! We so rarely get comments that I forget to check this email account.
Springfield Lutheran is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. All people are welcome in our congregation as stated in our Welcome Statement: We are all One as the Body of Christ. Our shared identity: as the baptized children of God. Our common Orientation: to the Cross of Christ. We welcome all regardless of income, ethnicity, sexual orientation/gender identity, age, marital status, political affiliation, mental or physical challenges. We confess His Real Presence at His Supper, open to all who hunger and thirst: Jesus is Host and we are all His Guests. And we are sent with such Grace-full Good News into the world.
If you would like to join us at a service, we meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays and at 5:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month for a soup and bread supper followed by an evening service at 6:30 p.m. We would love to see you!
Warren, my apologies for not answering your question in a more timely fashion. We get so little traffic to our website that I forget to look for comments. In answer to your question, we use a hymnal for our worship songs and praise and we have a fantastic pianist who accompanies us. She is learning to play the organ so we get a bit of that also before the service starts. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the church at 541-746-2403 or at slcanchor@gmail.com.

Do you use a hymnal for your worship songs and praise or is it rather contemporary drum, guitar and keyboard lyrics?
